National Empowerment Partnership Regional Grant Call

The National Empowerment Partnership East Midlands grant call is now open for applications from organisations based in the East Midlands, who can apply to develop the regional empowerment partnership and subsequent empowerment activity across the region.
The priorities for the programme delivery of the NEP over the next three years include:
- a) Regional Empowerment Partnership – Developing the consortium for the delivery of the programme
- b) NI4 - Activities which can evidence supporting Local Authorities to meet National Indicator 4
- c) Community Led Research - Securing community-led feedback and research on empowerment, to inform policy development and delivery
- d) Best Practice - Promoting examples of best practice and expertise for adoption at the local level
- e) Sharing across roles and sectors - Increasing the opportunities for activists, councillors, officials to share their learning
- f) RIEPs - Ensuring the improvement programme of the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships (RIEPs) meets LAAs’ and communities’ empowerment priorities
- g) Regional Themed Priorities – Priorities for each region based on the mapping and research conducted in year one
Funding is available for 2.5 years (subject to parliamentary approval), and will raise the profile, quality and co-ordination of empowerment for the benefit of communities and services across the region.
