Renaissance East Midlands training programme
Workforce Development and Training 2008-09
The workforce development and training programme is designed to deliver up-to-date, practical sessions for those working in the museum and heritage sector including paid staff and volunteers. This programme has been developed as the result of the identified training needs of partner organisations and specialist panel groups and takes into account previous course evaluation. The Workforce Development Specialist Group includes representatives from:
- Derby City Council, Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and Northampton Borough Council
- MLA East Midlands
- Renaissance East Midlands and specialist panels
- Training providers including EmmS, Nottingham Trent University and the Universify of Leicester.
The programme will continue to evolve in line with the Renaissance East Midlands Business Plan, and new items will be posted on the Renaissance website at www.renaissanceeastmidlands.org.uk
The collection of courses break down into different subjects that include: Access and Health and Safety, Audience Development, Collections, Front of House and Retail, Learning, Management and Museum Development. This programme runs from November 2008 to June 2009.
