New Era for Rural Culture Website

On line resource to continue for rural practitioners

This website is visited by an average of 1000 people each month, and feedback on its useful content and importance has shown that cultural practitioners across the region would like it to continue.

East Midlands Arts in Rural Areas Network are a new network established in autumn 2006 with the aim of supporting arts in rural areas and rural regeneration through the arts.

EMARANs mission is to create opportunities for artists, creative practitioners, creative industries and cultural organisations in the rural East Midlands to meet, build relationships, share experience and knowledge and act as an advocate for rural arts.

As this site is about creating a virtual network between some extremely diverse rural areas, they will be taking over its management and developing it as their online home.

As the change-over takes place, there might be some delay in uploading your news items and opportunities from the region. Bear with us, the news items, and special news for those working in rural culture will be flowing again within the next 6 weeks.

Future Development

The contact details for news items, and the message board are all still the same and we hope that the site can develop its profile and content to be of continued use across the region. We will be in touch soon with more information on the sites developments.
