Sixth EMARAN conference
Rural Art: The Power to Change
Booking is now open for the sixth East Midlands Arts in Rural Areas Conference, Monday 30 November, the Level Centre, Rowlsey, Matlock.
The conference will be a celebration of and a challenge to those working and practicing in rural arts and will explore issues facing us in times of change.
We are very pleased to announce that our keynote speaker is John Fox - the force behind Welfare State International and a printmaker, poet, author, artist, theatre director, occasional musician, lecturer and cultural provocateur. The Conference also includes a presentation from acclaimed artist John Newling (www.john-newling.com) an inside look at the Level Centre by First Movement's Peter Shelton (www.first-movement.org.uk) plus rural arts case studies from across the region.There will also be a chance to do some 'speed networking' to meet new colleagues and ask the questions in a special "Any Questions" panel session.
